With decades of experience in education at the Royal Northern College of Music and the University of Leeds, as well as collaborations with conservatoires across Europe, Eduardo’s focus on teaching has been present throughout his entire conducting career. This commitment to education led him to found Passion for Conducting in order to share the world-class instruction he had received with aspiring conductors.

Passion for Conducting has become a reference point for conducting education globally. The students of the academy are spread worldwide, and they have gone on to win international conducting competitions, start professional careers and secure debuts with major organisations including the New York Philharmonic, London Symphony Orchestra, Helsinki Philharmonic, Paris Garnier Opera, and the Estonian National Opera.

Eduardo’s teaching approach is based on his work with conductors including Sir Colin Davis, Bernard Haitink, Vladimir Jurowski, Sir Simon Rattle, Ivan Fischer, Maurizio Benini, and Sir Mark Elder. His students benefit both from the knowledge and insights inherited from these and other great masters.

His operatic experience includes work at prestigious festivals and opera houses: Glyndebourne, Dartington, Opera Rara, Opera North, Teatro Real Madrid, Opus Lírica, and the Royal Northern College of Music Opera.

Eduardo graduated as a Humboldt Scholar and as a La Caixa Scholar from the

University of the Arts Berlin and the Royal Academy of Music in London, and as

a Junior Fellow at the Royal Northern College of Music in Manchester.
